Greetings to all my brothers and sisters,
DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN OIL?
In 1 Thessalonians 4:16; “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”
Are you ready for Jesus to return? Imagine yourself coming out of a store and going to your car, when all of the sudden you hear a trumpet call. The sound is like no trumpet you’ve ever heard on earth before. You look up into the sky and see Jesus and thousands upon thousands of angels descending to earth. What will be important to you at that point? Your next work appointment? I think not. You will be thinking about your relationship with God. Has your faith produced a consistent obedient walk with God? Do you have a personal relationship with God? More importantly, would God say He has a personal relationship with you?
Matthew 25:1-13 says “The Kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise.” The wise ones took enough oil to keep their lamps burning so they could see the wedding party coming and follow them. The foolish ones took their lamps, but no oil. So when the wedding party arrived after being gone for a long while, they had no oil to burn for their lamps. So they couldn’t go on. They asked the wise virgins if they could borrow some oil, but the wise virgins only had enough for them to make it. The foolish virgins went off to buy some oil, but when they returned the wedding party was already gone. THEY WERE TOO LATE! We cannot borrow faith from someone else to be in a right relationship with GOD. We cannot buy our faith either. Each day we need to live for GOD and HIS WILL. Make choices today that keep you in GODS GRACE “seeking first HIS KINDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” (Matthew 6:33-34)
Life is short, then we go to Heaven.
