Greetings to all my brothers and sisters,
Matthew 5:48 says; “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is
perfect.” The word perfect is derived from the Greek language. It
means to become spiritually mature. As Christians, we should always
be striving to imitate the attitude of Jesus Christ.
(Philippians 2:5)
We know that Jesus came into the World full of grace and truth (John
1:14) We need grace and truth in our lives everyday. 2 Corinthians
5:9 says, “SO WE MAKE IT OUR GOAL TO PLEASE HIM,
WHETHER WE ARE AT HOME IN THE BODY OR AWAY FROM
IT”. That is the attitude that God sees as perfect. You see that if you
have as your goal to please the Lord with your life, then even though
you will not live a perfect life, the Lord sees you as perfect because of
the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for our sins.
To have a meaningful relationship with our Father in heaven, we
must learn to trust and obey His commands.
Trust + obey =closeness to God.
The greatest commandment is to Love the Lord your God with all
your heart, all your mind, all your soul, and all your strength. (Mark
12:30) Are you fully obeying God’s word in your life? Is there
anything that you know that isn’t pleasing to the Lord in your life? If
there is, what are you waiting for?
Repent , then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19)
As we walk with the Lord, He will test us to help us learn the value of
trusting and obeying Him. The more you learn to trust the easier it is
to obey.
Life is short, then we get to go to Heaven,
Love, your brother in Christ,
Chris Chloupeck
