Perhaps You Will or Perhaps You Won’t

“Perhaps You Will or Perhaps You Won’t”

Greeting to all my brothers and sisters,

Acts 17:26-27 says, “From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth, and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and PERHAPS reach out for him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”

Right now as you are reading this, it could be your God moment! God determines the exact times and places where you are living to make a move on your heart. Then it is up to you. PERHAPS you will reach out and find Him, or PERHAPS you won’t. In other words, you will be open to God’s prompting or you won’t. I believe that if we could look back in our lives and see all the times God had tried to move in our hearts, it would be too numerous for us to count.

Unfortunately, many of us weren’t open to God until we were in a humbled state. This was my case. I had lived my way for 31 years on myterms. I was living in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles. My choices in life brought me to a point of emptiness emotionally, and spiritually. Only then was I open to a friend of mine inviting me to come to his church. I then was open to studying the Bible and taking an honest heartfelt look at my life in the mirror of God’s word. I got so convicted when I saw how far I was away from being in a right relationship with God. But I was so full of gratitude as I understood how Jesus died for me to be able to be forgiven for my sins. It was amazing how God had plans for me to prosper and not to harm me. Plans to give me a hope and future if I would surrender my life to Him and repent of my sins. (Jeremiah 29:11-14) I was baptized in a pool in Burbank, California on November 3, 1993. Since then my life has been absolutely awesome. Still it hasn’t been without it’s challenges and trials. I have had the discipline of God on me at various times when I needed it. But as I walked with God, everything that happened to me was for my own good, because God works for the good of all those who obey and love Him. (Romans 8:28)

Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

God is never far from any of us. He wants us to make the ultimate decision to PERHAPS TURN TO HIM ON HIS TERMS. His terms are spelled out in the Bible.

If you are a Christian, still look for those God moments in your life. As you read the Word take it to heart and live it out in your life. If you aren’t a Christian, then get involved with Christians who can show you the way to salvation as it is in the Bible.

There is nothing more important then earnestly seeking and living for God our Father.
