WELCOME TO OUR BRING YOUR NEIGHBOR DAY!
We are a church dedicated to “Loving God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength which is the greatest commandment given by Jesus himself. The second is Love your neighbor as yourself. ( Mark 12:30-31) The greatest act of love we can do is to invite you to worship and experience God’s love and hear his word preached! God has a plan for each and everyone of our lives. He sent His son Jesus to die for us so we can learn be free of the sin that has never allowed us to see and live the way God has always planned for us to live. We as a church are all a mess in the flesh, but we are striving to grow and imitate the character of Christ in our hearts and behavior.
“OUR LIFE IS BUT A MIST ”
James 4: 14-15 says; “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? YOU ARE A MIST THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN VANISHES. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
Have you ever sprayed a water bottle with on mist mode? When you spray out the water in mist form, it materializes for only a few seconds and dissipates into thin air gone forever. In the scheme of God timing and eternal life, our human life spans are nothing compared to eternity. So I ask you what are you living for? What is important to you? Is it what God would consider important? The answers are in the Bible. The last part of the previous verse says, “IF IT IS THE LORDS WILL, WE WILL LIVE AND DO THIS OR THAT.” God wants us to live in a relationship with him. He wants us to trust Him so much that we will live our lives for Him. When you start taking steps of faith as God’s word directs us, we will experience a joy that cannot be captured by any human endeavor.
WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE?
Matthew 6:19-21 ” DO NOT STORE UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES ON EARTH, WHERE THIEVES BREAK IN AND STEAL. BUT STORE UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN, WHERE MOTH AND RUST DO NOT DESTROY, AND WHERE THIEVES DO NOT BREAK IN AND STEAL. FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO.”
It takes faith to live for God and not earthly things. The way one lives and behaves in life shows people where their treasure is.
2 Corinthians 4:18 says, ” So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 says, ” For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”
God has a plan for each of our lives. It is so important to Him to have His plans unfold in our lives, He sent His Son to die for our sins so we can have the chance to become a new creation.
What are your plans for eternity?
Life is short, then we get to go to Heaven!
Love, your brother in Christ,
Chris Chloupek
