Because We Speak Before Thinking

Proverbs 12:23—“A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the heart of fools blurts out folly.”
Proverbs 13:16—“Every prudent man acts out of knowledge, but a fool exposes his folly.”
Proverbs 14:8—“The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception.”
Proverbs 14:15—“A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.”
Proverbs 15:23—“A man finds joy in giving an apt reply—and how good is a timely word.”
Proverbs 16:23—“A wise man’s heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.”

Proverbs 21:29—“A wicked man puts up a bold front, but an upright man gives thought to his ways.”

Because of Emotions

Proverbs 10:19—“When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.”
Proverbs 12:16—“A fools shows his annoyance at once, but prudent man overlooks an insult.”
Proverbs 12:18—“Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”
Proverbs 13:3—“He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.”
Proverbs 15:1—“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Proverbs 29:11—“A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.”

Raised with Christ

Colossians 3:1-4 —”Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Chrst is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, WHO IS YOUR LIFE, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

Live As God’s Chosen

Colossians 3:12-15— “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
Examine yourselves to these words of scripture and let them minister to your heart. The only thing stopping you from having your life match up with these scriptures is YOU.

2 Corinthians 13:5 —”Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.”

Life is short, then we go to heaven,
Love your brother in Christ,
